How to find Orvelter Hof
Witteveen sits in the middle of Drenthe, between Beilen and Westerbork. Almost everyone arrives via the A28, exit Beilen; from there it is about fifteen minutes.
These signs tell you that you have arrived: the driveway on Mr. J.B. Kanweg.

By car
From Assen and Groningen
Take the A28 towards Hoogeveen and leave the motorway at the Beilen exit. Drive through Beilen towards Witteveen; you will reach the village after roughly ten minutes.
From Zwolle, Meppel and Hoogeveen
Follow the A28 towards Assen and take the same Beilen exit. From the slip road onwards it is the same route through Beilen to Witteveen.
From Emmen and Coevorden
Take the N381 towards Beilen and follow the signs for Witteveen near Westerbork. You will enter the village from the other side, without using the motorway at all.
The last few kilometres
In Witteveen, Orvelter Hof is on Mr. J.B. Kanweg. Include house number 7a in your sat nav: without it, some software drops you further down the road.

By public transport
Beilen is the nearest railway station, about fifteen minutes away by car. The local train between Zwolle and Groningen stops there twice an hour, so you can get there from Meppel, Hoogeveen, Assen and Groningen without changing.
There is no bus from the station to Witteveen at workable times. A taxi from Beilen is the practical answer; we do not run a transfer service ourselves.
In practice almost every group arrives by car and shares lifts. Let us know how many cars you expect when you book and we will take that into account.
